The 2009-2010 Jacki Rickert MMJ Act was introduced in Nov. 2009. A combined public hearing of the Assembly and Senate Health Committees was held Dec, 15, 2009 and lasted for more than 8 hours, with over one hundred patients testifying in support. However, the 2009-2010 JRMMA did not pass out of committee and as of April 22, 2010 is dead for the session. JRMMA.org will be coordinating collecting signatures in targeted municipalities this Spring to place local advisory referendums on medical marijuana on this November's ballot.
